Land Registry
About the client
Land Registry is the executive government agency responsible for publicly recording legal interests in land in England and Wales.
The challenge
The Land Registry wanted to introduce a CMS into its website to so that content editors could manage the English and Welsh language websites. The Registry had previously used a bespoke system developed in-house which required frequent intervention from the technical team to keep the website up to date.
The solution
Cubeworks implemented their CMS, WebAttaché, to give content editors complete control of both English and Welsh websites. The CMS allows them to operate a publishing workflow and control access permissions. The system also assists the Welsh editors by replicating new English content to the Welsh site for translation.
The result
Bottlenecks in publishing which occurred when only one developer was able to make all the changes are now greatly reduced. More people are now able to manage the website content while Land Registry retains control of publishing. Consequently, the website is always more up to date - a major benefit for the public and solicitors when looking for current information.
